Pipe Bridge – 3D Design

As part of the district heating expansion at Kalvebod Brygge, additional capacity was needed for the pipeline crossing Vasbygade. Vasbygade is a four-lane arterial road and one of the main access routes into Copenhagen, making it essential that the expansion could be completed with minimal disruption to traffic and the public.

Due to the presence of other underground utilities, it was not possible to install the pipeline below the road surface. Instead, the existing pipe bridge had to be extended.

At Norsyn, we developed the preliminary 3D design for the new pipe bridge, performed structural calculations, designed new support structures, and provided guidance for project execution. The project was completed as planned.
