Norfors – Renovation of District Heating Pipelines

The assignment involved engineering consultancy related to detailed design and execution of district heating renovation in the areas of Stampetoften, Stampeengen, and the residential neighbourhoods around Elsdyrvej and Hjortevej in Hørsholm.
Existing pre-insulated district heating pipes were replaced with new ones, as the original network was approximately 40 years old and experiencing frequent failures due to pipe deterioration.
The work in Stampetoften and Stampeengen presented particular challenges due to limited space, as the pipelines were located in narrow passages between buildings. It was also essential to maintain an uninterrupted heat supply to residents throughout the construction period.
The project was executed through three separate trade contracts. Norsyn provided all consultancy services, including conceptual and detailed design, coordination with homeowners’ associations, tendering, contracting, construction management, and site supervision.
