District Heating Rollout – Herstedøster

The project comprised the establishment of a complete district heating system as part of the transition to low-temperature district heating in the village of Herstedøster in Albertslund Municipality. The project was executed as a design-build contract with Hoffmann A/S as contractor and Norsyn as consultant.
The scope included all necessary activities and deliveries – including detailed design of the pipe network, permitting procedures, customer coordination, excavation works, pipe supply, welding, and installation of main lines and service connections.
Norsyn provided professional and integrated consultancy services during the design phase. The assignment included technical design of the complete district heating system with particular focus on low-temperature design, including dimensioning, material selection, route optimization, detailed drawings, longitudinal profiles, and coordination with existing utility data and stakeholders. Norsyn also contributed to risk assessment, quality assurance, and technical interface management in close collaboration with the client and the design-build contractor.
