Glostrup Hospital – Heat Exchanger Station & Transmission Pipeline

VEKS, in collaboration with Glostrup District Heating, planned to expand the heat supply to Glostrup Hospital. As part of this effort, approximately 450 m of a new DN150 transmission pipeline and a 10 MW heat exchanger station were to be established on the hospital site.
Norsyn’s Role
Norsyn was responsible for the detailed design of both the pipeline and the heat exchanger station, as well as for construction management and site supervision during execution. In addition, Norsyn contributed to the coordination with the hospital’s operations to ensure that construction activities did not interfere with the emergency department or surrounding hospital buildings.
As part of the detailed design, Norsyn carried out a risk assessment, developed a 3D model of the exchanger station, performed structural calculations, pipe and component dimensioning, control system specifications, and prepared the technical dossier.
